Owners – The Coaches

With over 40 years’ experience in business management in manufacturing, retail & wholesale distribution, brothers Dipak and Yatish Devchand have successfully grown the business since arriving in Australia in 2001. Dipak’s background in systems and production combined with Yatish’s training in finance and strategy have combined to provide a solid base with trustworthy relationships with all stakeholders including customers, suppliers and especially staff. The Team at Tara are very much part of the family and are passionate about the products and customers.

Customer Service – The Front Line

The very approachable and reliable representatives each have over 20 years’ experience in sales and customer service with both small and large organisations.

El joined Tara in 2013 after taking time off to look after her two young children. She applies attention to detail and customer focus after many years in the travel industry.

Venetia has a Diploma in Fashion and Textile with extensive experience in sales and visual merchandising in Myers. She also worked on designing a fabric print for HBF to complement their interior design scheme. She is passionate about working with customers on designs and practical solutions.

Production – The Midfield Engine Room

The production and quality control team have invaluable experience from years of working in international clothing factories.

The production manager, Sum, has a BSc in Textile Engineering & Clothing Technology as well as a Certificate in Pattern Making & Grading and Garment fitting, from De Monfort University in Leicester, UK. Since moving to Australia with his young family in 2013 he has applied his knowledge in setting up efficient local and offshore production methods.

Joelle also has a BSc (Hons) Textile and Fashion Design and has worked as a garment technologist and patternmaker. Her passion is working on designs and then arranging patterns, specifications and quality control. She loves spending time with her husband and young daughter.

Leon has been with Tara Uniforms since 1998 and is a qualified tailor and pattern maker. He works with the latest CAD design software and has a thorough knowledge of all uniforms and grading.

They are backed up by Lyn and Linh, who operate the in-house sewing and embroidery machines.

Administration – Solid Defence and Distribution

The whole team has been marshalled for over ten years by the Operations Manager, Charlie who has vast experience in the service industry.

He is ably supported by the Administration manager, Michelle and her assistant, Monique who have also had years of experience running their own businesses previously. Dhiroo is also an experienced business owner and marshals all the finances

The important warehouse is managed by Simon, Andy and their team of pickers and packers.
