In addition to our extensive uniform range, we pride ourselves in producing a superior quality jumper with a reputation second-to-none. We have invested in state-of-the-art computerised Stoll machines from Germany to further enhance the quality of the knitting. Some of the reasons our school jumpers are so popular are because we offer:

• Superior comfort - virtually eliminating prickle & itch
  Tara Uniforms was involved in the introduction of a softer more comfortable yarn 'EasyCare SoftWear' which virtually eliminates the 'prickle & itch' that has been associated with school jumpers for decades. This innovative yarn is made from finer fibres which are shown by CSIRO research to be softer on sensitive skin.
• Durable and hard wearing garments
  We set stringent specifications for the wool quality which ensures the final product meets our high standards of comfort and durability. The yarn is made up from a fine 21.5 micron blend of 80% premium wool and 20% nylon. We are also able to knit in polycotton for those with special requirements.
• Designed and manufactured in Australia for Australians
  After a thorough process of continuous consultations with our customers, we have developed our sizing to fit the Australian student. Our jumpers are manufactured entirely in our factory from knitting, steaming and cutting to assembly, final pressing and packing. Our raglan-sleeve style is the most popular but we can also make set-in sleeve, sleeveless or cardigans.
• Machine washable knitwear
  When washed and maintained according to the instructions on the label, our jumpers hold their shape and appearance for many years.
• Wide range of school colours
  We offer a wide range of knitwear colours to choose from or we can dye to your exact specifications. Striping is available on the neck, waist or cuffs and your distinctive logo can also be embroidered.
